The Haunted Forest 2011

Every year during the month of October, Mountain Empire Community College hosts a Haunted Forest. It is located behind the college in the large Forest! This yeah I get the pleasure of being apart of it all! Not only have I been helping with the advertising, the facebook fan page, and helping at the front end during operation hours... But I also get the pleasure of taking photos!

Last night was the first opening night and the turn out was amazing! If you are local and you would like to visit the Haunted Forest this year follow this link to the fan page on facebook where you can find all the information you need. There are directions on how to get there as well! MECC Haunted Forest

My second post!

Well, It has been a few days since my very first post and I thought I would stop in and post some updates!

I did a session for a 2 year old little girl named Clancey and even got some great shots with her mother. The shoot went so great and it was a ton of fun! We visited a couple places for the photos. We stopped at the new outside theater across from Payless in Wise, then made our way to the Wise Reservoir and last, but not least we stopped at the old water building in Coeburn. I have to say the locations turned out perfect.  The session had a rough start though. Shortly after meeting it began raining and it was already pretty cold outside. But we sucked it up and went on with the shoot. I am so glad we did because it turned out beautifully. Below is a couple of the photos from the shoot!

I have another session scheduled for Monday and I can't wait! I will post some samples once I get them edited!

Fall is near and I am not so sure it will be as pleasant as we all expected this year! It is only October 2nd and it is already getting cold outside and it even snowed a little bit today! With all that said, some really beautiful Fall photos can and will be taken! If you have not already scheduled your session... make sure you schedule it soon before I get booked up! I offer a wide variety of sessions from Family Portraits, Senior Portraits, Engagements, Weddings, Parties and even boudoir sessions! Anything you can imagine, I can capture it in a photo.

Until next time stay warm and keep smiling, you never know when someone is snapping a photo of you!

My very first blog post!!

Hello to all my Fans, Family and Friends! This will be my very first blog post ever and I hope that I get it right and share information that you will find informational, fun and entertaining!

I want to start off by saying I am very new to being a photographer. Yes, I have always taken photos all my life and have loved doing it, but I am new as in doing photography for a living and for people other than my family and friends! I am by no means a professional, but I will be one day! No matter what though, I will always provide my clients with great quality photography along with affordable rates as well.

I did two sessions the other day on 09/25/11 and they both went AMAZING!

The first session I did was for Jamie and her three precious angels! They were so much fun to work with even though they really were not interested in the photo shoot itself. We got some really great shots and after editing them I was pleased with the outcome. Below is a photo from the session!

My second session of the day was with Clarissa. We did sort of an in between-er of Senior Portraits and Trash the Dress! We had a blast while doing the session and Clarissa was a trooper during the water scenes. The water was freezing, but Clarissa did amazing and never complained once! Her photos turned out amazing and I was proud of the outcome and proud of Clarissa. She is so beautiful and photogenic. I just know one day she will be a big time model.... Below is a photo from the session.

I am hoping to do some more great sessions since Fall is just around the corner and will offer such beautiful backgrounds! I do have a session scheduled for Friday with Gredel and her two year old, Chancey. That should be so much fun and I hope the photos come out just as great as my last few sessions!

For those of you who have not visited my Facebook fan page and would like to you can follow this link . There you will find information about me, about my photography, sample photos and much more! I hope to see you there!

I hope that you have enjoyed my very first blog and I will be posting a new blog at least once a week! I am going to end this blog with a quote!

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

See you next time!!
